Mapping the Lunar Wake Potential Structure with ARTEMIS Data

We utilized electron and magnetic field measurements collected by ARTEMIS from 2011 to 2018 to statistically map the lunar wake potentials and found an asymmetry in the wake potential structure caused by the tilting in the interplanetary magnetic field (IMF). This asymmetry can also be simulated and explained by our 2-D analytical model. Read more.
